I'm moving to Eugene for a job with an expected start date of November 17th - I think I'd be arriving a week or so before that.

Me: 35, male, respectful, clean cut, easy going, honest. I'm a music fan and have a good 10K hours of live music in my collection, although these days I spend more time thinking about molten glass than live music (which is the reason I'm moving to the Northwest). I've got a well behaved, gentle indoor cat named Friday. I don't drink too much, don't smoke cigarettes, but do like to smoke herb. I've also got some furnishings that I need space for - a kitchen table and a big couch would be the main items - but am going to pare things down so that I could fit all my possessions in a one bedroom apartment (or more specifically, a POD to ship my stuff in from Chicago to Eugene).

You: stable, easy going, honest, non-cigarette smoker (or smoke outside) and with a bit of extra space. I'm looking for some one who works or is a serious graduate student. Gotta love animals, 'cuz my cat is the bees knees. If you have a bit of space in the garage where I could set up my torch to blow glass in front of a window, that would be most excellent.

Hello, I am a student looking for a bedroom to rent for winter term: early January until the end of March. I am 21, male, a part time student at LCC and full time manager of a very prestigious plumbing wholesale warehouse...

It seems like all the housing offered posts are looking for extremes. "NO PARTIES, NO DRUGS" on one side, and on the other "we have a disco ball and stripper pole, bring your drunk g/f". I'd like to live in a house with people that understand moderation. I really like living in a clean house and being able to do homework and relax, but I'm also an amateur bartender and I love hosting awesome parties and letting loose once in a while. 420 is ok with me but I only partake on rare occasions, that stuff puts me to sleep, plus I like my job (the money anyway).

The ideal room would be big enough for a queen bed, dresser, and a large desk. 12x12 is just enough, give or take a foot, but I'm willing to pay a bit more for a bigger room. My job is in west Eugene, so the house should be between LCC and Jefferson and hopefully no further south than 30th or so. I'd like to stay away from Whitaker District but if you're in a non-sketchy bubble, I may be interested.

I'm an outdoor enthusiast and hike up Spencer's Butte regularly, and hiked up the South Sister last month. I like just about all kinds of music except most country and rap. I own a Yamaha R6 and got up to 145 on Hwy 97 (working on that max). I own a tiki bar and a decent BBQ. And on the other end of the spectrum: I built my own gaming computer from parts off newegg, I own a microscope, and I own and have watched every episode of Stargate.

Mother, son and dog looking for a place to park our conversion van! Me 26 year old male
taking care of my disabled mother 53 and 4 year old black lab. We were renting from Novack
properties they gave us a no cause eviction. I fought it in court and got the eviction off
of our record and now they are trying to keep our deposit. I am in the process of taking
them to small claims court to get our money back. My mother is on disability and I had to
quit my job to take care of her. We have tried to rent some apartments in the area but they
all ask that we make 3 to 4 times the amount of the rent witch is imposable on her limited
income. Right now we are on the waiting list for the SVDP housing but it will still be
another 4 to 6 months. My mother has obsessive compulsive disorder and many other medical
problems and has to use a wheelchair when ever she has to go anywhere. We can pay up to
$350 a month or do some work trade my mother is a clean freak and I am a jack of all trades
from construction to computers and every where in between. Our black lab is well trained we
rescued him from an abusive situation where he was attacked by the old owners other dog and
I had to spend all of my savings for his vet bills (over $3,000) so I am not willing to
give him up for anything!!! He is a loving friend to anyone and he only barks when someone
knocks on the door but only about twice then he stops. We are willing to sleep in our van

I am a single 23 year old female trying my hardest to move to the great city of Eugene, but am finding it very difficult to find a home for me and my wonderful, 3 year old, spayed cat Sassy. I dont much like dogs, and in fact, if you have a dog, Im afraid I wont like living there (I have a low tolerance for the smell of dogs that seems to find its place in all dog residences).

My name is Lorraine (Rainie) MacDonald, I am a mother with 3 sons, ages 16, 14 & 4, and a 7 year old dog looking for a place to be for the school year. Honestly, we have been on the road with our children for a couple of years now living in a converted school bus. We are currently urban camping in our flaming Grateful Dead bus in downtown Eugene. My husband is detained back east, and won't be able to rejoin us until February.

My #1 priority is my kids & their education, Eugene seems to be a great place for that! My two older sons are enrolled in Network Charter Schools and need to have access to the Eugene bus line to get to school.

I don't 'party' and am not a tweaker (wouldn't still have that flamin' bus if I was...) I can take care of a house, we had one for many years but decided we needed to escape Florida, so we bought a bus on the internet and went roaming for a new home. We have kept our bus on the road, no simple feat, for 2 1/5 years and 30,000 miles now.

I am a recent escapee from the cubical/corporate life and we have been traveling and enjoying the great United States making a living with our art, something I never dreamed possible while locked into my day job. I am currently on a job hunt, and I am pretty sure I can get back into the cubicle to make rent money. I have experience in all types of office work and graphic design.

My husband is a tattoo artist and an old deadhead, he's the one that has the most experience being on the road. We did tattooing at festivals out of our bus last summer in upstate New York (meeting all NY health requirements in our mobile studio) & I have been doing artwork for him and vending to finance our travels. I may be a little unorthodox, but I can take care of business and I am very proactive about dealing with possible 'issues'. I have no criminal record if that makes a difference.

I also mentioned that we have a dog, she is 7 years old, low energy, well-trained member of our family, about 50 lbs, English Bulldog/Boxer mix. She does NOT need a yard to run in, and gets very offended if anyone treats her like a (gasp!) dog! She�s really just a lovable, short, furry person.

The bus is 35� long. I also have a 10 x 10 �easy-up� I�d like to put up if I can get some yard space.

I am wide open to options right now, even suggestions or just friendly advice would be greatly appreciated. I would gladly pay for a safe parking space & electricity & a bathroom. I can rent a porta-potty if need be, or if you have an rv hookup that works too. We have been paying $400 - $600 a month in Cali for these 'amenities' in county parks. I would also be interested in renting a small space, really all I need is a bathroom and a rumpus room for the kids if I can keep our bus on the property, we have a kitchen and sleeping spaces. If I can't do that, I'll be looking for storage for the bus and trying to get into a small place. I don't want to commit myself to a huge financial responsibility until my husband gets back, just tryin to get by and not dig myself into debt by taking on more that I can handle.

My husband and I are professional dressage (horse) trainers. We have several Lipizzan stallions and breed Lipizzans. We train a variety of breeds and specialize in baroque dressage. We are looking for a house located on some horse-appropriate property. An arena is not important to work out of, because we have our training horses boarded at a training barn, but we do need pasture space for our broodmares and young horses. Barn space with stalls or an enclosure of some sort is a plus, but not necessary.

The house should preferably have 2+ bedrooms and 2+ bathrooms. My mother is getting older and will need to move in with us soon. Rent $ is negotiable depending upon the circumstances and property.

We are having a hard time finding a place because we had both gotten laid off from our jobs (at the same time) in CA due to the recession and as a result lost our house to foreclosure. Because of that our credit isn't so great, but we have always paid our mortgage on time up until the time we both lost our jobs. We are trying to start anew in Oregon and I have since found a stable job and my fiance should have one soon as well. We are quiet, respectful and clean. We would not be having any visitors over and have clean backgrounds. We have two well behaved kitties that need to come with us. I am moving to Eugene on November 5th from the East Coast, and need a place to live. Would prefer not to pay over 450 as I am on a budget and will need to scour the place for work when I get there. I AM LOOKING FOR A REAL PLACE...THIS MEANS NO PREFAB, FAKEY WALLS, WALL TO WALL CARPETING, NO TREES JUNK. I'm twenty three, working on a manuscript, and might enroll at U of O in Jan for help putting together a metalworking portfolio. No drama, here. And would prefer to live with someone who knows what they are about and is comfortable in that. Eco friendly, but I don't toke. I'm a cluttery person, but I clean. Want a roommie I can trust and share a meal with, see around the house when I get a little lonely, but who understands boundaries and can respect alone time, does not throw mad raves, and understands what it means to take out the trash.
