Writer's Group wants new members (Veneta)

Would you be interested in joining the writers group that meets twice a month?

We are the "Ridge Writers". We are an eclectic bunch - fiction / non-fiction; prose/poetry; historical/sci-fi; etc. Quite a mixture, but it works.

We start out every meeting doing a writing exercise to get the juices flowing and feed our muse. Ten minutes writing on a prompt that the rotating facilitator comes up with. Then sharing them if we want to, or not. Then we share other writing we have done, getting feedback (constructive!) if we want it, or just an ear to hear what we have written if that is what we need. We share info on contests, speakers, conferences, workshops, etc.

We meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, from 6 to 8pm, at the Broadway Events Center - 5th & Broadway in Veneta. All we ask is a commitment to come to the meetings (illness, vacation, etc. obviously excused). It is a commitment to the group, and to your own writing. We need a stable group to create the synergy to make the experience worthwhile.

I am a student of the Bible, who has studied Revelation 13-19 enough to know that "the merchants of the earth" are those who prevent "buy or sell" without the 666 UPC bar code. I am looking for anyone else in the Eugene/Springfield area who knows that they should not "buy or sell" food and clothing with the 666 UPC bar code "number of satan's name", that one should not "eat things sacrificed unto idols [satan]." Revelation 2.

If there is a group here that refuses to belong to satan by not taking "the mark of the beast" 666 UPC in order to "buy or sell" from "the merchants of the earth," then I would love to hear from you.

AssalamuAlaikum, I was hoping to find some Muslim sisters who would be interested in meeting weekly to get together and encourage each other to research and discuss our deen and practice and learn to recite Surahs from the Quran. I welcome all sisters (those who do and do not wear hijab) and wish this group to be friendly and supportive, InshaAllah.
I was thinking we could get together at night times at my home or whom evers home- we can all figure what works best for everyone.

Looking for a book club??? We meet the first and third Sunday of each month at Vero on 14th and Pearl. We have always been a group of woman but would be willing to have a mans perspective!! Hello,

A friend and I had an idea and i'm wondering how many others have had the same idea. A support group for other mothers or fathers who just need to know they are not alone in the rollacoaster ride of emotions being a step parent puts you on.

I am a step mother and I really had no clue what being a step mother actually was when I signed up for it! I have good times and bad. I love my step son inside and out however, sharing him with his "birth" mother is harder then I anticipated. There is no "working together" as I thought it would be.

If any one else out there feels lost, confused, angry, jealous, happy, excited, loved and disliked all in the same week. If you have to balance schedules of on and off visitation weeks. If you have to be sure not double book school events in hopes to not upset the "other parent". Or if you just want to meet other step parents like yourselfs then....lets get together!

I have no set plan yet. I want to see how many people are interested. From there we can pick a place to meet and start our group.

Looking for people in the area who have had there unborn or born baby diagnosed with cystic hygromas. My wife and I would like to find anyinfo we can. And would really like to hear any optamistic outcomes in the area. We know it is kinda rare. So chances that anyone around here that might see this are pretty slim, but still are checking. We would really like to find some two to three years of age that were diagnosed with CH, and how they have turned out. We are going in for CVS next week so that we can determin any genetic or chromasonal adnormalities. Some of us are working on clothes, some on quilting, some on smaller projects. Any level is welcome. Cost is $3 each Thursday.
