Allegiant Airlines & illegal policies (Eugene Airport)

Last week I had a flight to Vegas on Allegiant Airlines. I had left my cell phone at home and had to return to get it at the last minute. I finally arrived at the airport 30 mins before my scheduled departure, only to find no attendant at the check-in counter only a sign that read "will return in 20 mins". When the attendant returned about 10 minutes later and I demanded my boarding pass, he proclaimed there was nothing he could do for me because I had "forfeited" my flight by arriving "late". It's important to note that that flight did not depart for at least another 45 mins from the time I arrived at the airport, it departed late. However, "on-time" according to Allegiant airlines is arriving no later than 45 minutes before your scheduled departure. If you arrive even at 45 minutes and 10 seconds, you have forfeited your flight on Allegiant Airlines. This forfeiture entitles you to NO REFUND OR FLIGHT CREDIT. ITS TIME TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST SUCH UNFAIR POLICIES. Myself and my partner were not the only people who had "forfeited" their flight that evening, there were at least 3 other customers who had paid their hard-earned money to fly on that flight. I'm sure this "forfeiture" of flights happens on every Allegiant Airlines flight out of the Eugene Airport.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. If you have suffered at the hands of this unfair policy and have seen your hard-worked money go down the drain FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Allegiant Airlines 45 min"late policy" is not legal because it is not conscionable, it is unfair on it's face. There is no other airline that has such a policy for late customers without providing them at the least flight credit. You are ENTITLED TO REMEDY.

You are still eligable for a full set if you have had Bitewings as long as it was over a year ago. These are a series of up to four films that cover all the posterior teeth. In your average dental office this set of x-rays would cost anywhere from 75-115 dollars, and Lane only charges 25, this is a great opportunity and includes an exam. Why Do I Need To Be Saved?

God leaves no doubt about our condition. While we set our standards of right and wrong by society's values, God�s standard is His own holiness. How do we measure up? "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). It is only fair that God demands holiness; that is how He first created mankind. We have rebelled against Him as a race and as individuals.

Our pathway away from God has brought its consequences. "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23a). The Bible compares sin to a cruel slave master. There is no mercy in suffering, no freedom from bondage, no lasting joy, no hope for the future. Most frightening is the final consequence of sin. The Bible warns that without God�s salvation, death is the doorway to eternal punishment (Hebrews 9:27).

It is from this that we need to be saved. From our own sin. From its bondage. From its consequences. "How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?" (Hebrews 2:3).
How does God say I can be saved?

God is holy and God is love. His holiness demands that our sin be punished in full. His love provides a way for us to be saved from this punishment. How is this possible? Someone was willing to suffer what we deserve. Our substitute had to be a sinless man, able to suffer the full wrath of God against our sin. The only one able to take our place was God�s Son.

The greatest display of God�s love unfolded as His Son left heaven to become a man. Born of a virgin 2000 years ago, the Lord Jesus Christ lived with His creation. He was unable to sin, yet He showed compassion to sinners all around Him. Men hated Christ because His holiness exposed their sinfulness. They decided to remove Him by crucifying Him. He willingly allowed them to nail Him to a cross of wood outside Jerusalem. They suspended Him so they could sit and watch Him die. The climax of God�s plan of salvation had arrived as God covered the earth with darkness. The Bible tells us that for three hours He laid on His Son the full punishment we deserve to receive for our sin. The darkness was broken when Jesus Christ called out with a loud voice, "It is finished". He had accomplished the mighty work, God�s great plan of salvation.

After three days in death, Christ Jesus rose from the dead. This is evidence to all who saw Him and to all who read God�s word that Christ�s suffering completely satisfied His father. He was victorious over death itself � the ultimate consequence of our sin.

God�s plan of salvation brings us into the good of Christ�s suffering, death, and victory. "For when we were yet without strength, in due time, Christ died for the ungodly" (Romans 5:6). "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

I now have scratches all over my vehicle, a broken $200 part and numerous less expensive broken parts they refused to replace. They tried twice and still couldn't figure out how to put the steering wheel back on straight. . . . I am 21 and going to LCC for Audio Engineering and Music (guitar). I have been playing for 7-8 years now and have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of guitar. 2009 Fern Ridge "Country Holiday Bazaar" - Broadway Events Center venue

We still have a couple openings for vendors, and a few slots for entertainment or craft demos. No pay for entertainment or demos, but you can sell your CDs free, or get a discount on a regular vendor table.

This is an area wide Bazaar, with 25 to 30 venues in the Fern Ridge area. Lots of traffic.

Location: Broadway Events Center (5th & Broadway, Veneta)

I intend to keep posting until I believe there is no more reasons to.

My son, Ty Thomas, lived in Eugene for over 10 years. He made many friends and acquaintances, burned some bridges and showed compassion and loyalty to others. I know there are those who just didn't like him and others tolerated him. Some may believe the worst of Ty, but what isn't understood is the Ty that made the bad decisions was the Ty who was completely dependent on drugs to see him through his emotional pain. Then there was the dependency on prescription drugs to numb the physical pain. There weren�t too many people who knew the true Ty. The Ty that had a heart of gold, was compassionate, caring, loving and enjoyed life.

Unbelievably, he was not strong enough to resist the darker side of Eugene...the drugs, the raves and the dark places where those troubled souls go emotionally to hide from the pain. He spent years moving from room to room, couch to couch and eating when he could. He picked up coats others had thrown out in the winter, washed his clothes in bathtubs with soap, couldn't hold down a steady job and kept most of what he owned at the time in his backpack. It wasn't unusual for him to leave his belongings where he would lay his head. The only way he felt he could ease the pain was drugs. He never really realized I was his best friend and he could talk with me about anything. It was just easier to put that poison into his body, abusing the very temple created just for him. He lived his life like this until 2 months before he passed away.

My son will never see his little girl again, hold her, play with her or spend a holiday with her. She won�t feel his arms holding her, comforting her when she falls and she will never hear him say �I love you� . His eyes will never enjoy the first blooms of spring, his face will never again feel the warmth of the summer sun or the cool crisp breezes of the fall. My son will never make a memory again and all that is left is what was. Not what could be or will be...those dreams and hopes are gone.

It is because of his pain that I'm posting. I know there are so many young people who, right now, are depending on some kind of drug to get them through the night. To kill the pain, to make their troubles disappear. But what really happens is the pain gets worse, the troubles mount and it becomes a never ending cycle until the luck runs out and the drugs rob the person of everything, even the very breath that sustains life.

My life has been changed totally since Ty passed. No longer will I have a "normal" day. At first my thoughts are filled with what ifs. What if I hadn't left Eugene. What if I'd never have moved to Eugene. What if I had not believed him when he said he was OK. What if I had listened to my intuition...so many what ifs and I will never know if any of them would have made a difference. When I learned my son had passed, my body went numb, my mind blocked out everything except the words being spoken. Those horrible words that were completely unbelievable. I hear them over and over in my head and they don't stop. When a parent loses a child, they lose a huge part of them as well. This wonderful being, snatched from their lives and their arms forever. Losing a loved one changes the dynamics of the family. Nobody is ever the same. Each day is a fight to move forward, to breathe, to eat, to live. We have to learn how to live our lives as we have never lived before. We start to look at life so differently and NOW we understand just how precious and short our lives our. We understand how fragile our lives are and we understand how just one small mistake can take that life away. Oh, I know you've heard it all before, but really think about what would happen if you were gone. Or if you lost your child. The pain goes on forever, no, you never get over it. You will never again feel a hug, hear the words �I love you� or kiss them goodbye as they leave you. The memories of happier times will eventually help you through all the heartbreak and the sadness that consumes you every single day. You will still wake up each morning and think about the person you love and how they are no longer there with you. It is a hell from which there is no real relief.

Then there is the guilt�it crops up because as a parent it is our job to protect our children always. I've since learned that I could not protect Ty from himself. What I could do as a parent whose child has turned to drugs is offer help, talk with them, seek out the assistance of those who know and understand just what it means to be addicted. I believe I could have done a better job of that, but for my son it is now too late. I do know it was my job and I let him down. I let myself down.

The choices our children make, no matter what age they are, will affect us the rest of our lives. Drugs...I never believed for one minute that I would lose my son to drugs, a substance that creates such a temporary and false sense of contentment or maybe even euphoria, then robs the very life and breath of the user. It doesn't make any difference if it is prescription or street drugs, they are all killers. I read my son's MySpace and I read the posts from others which talks about drugs and I just want to shake them and tell them not to do that to their bodies, their minds, their souls and the parents. No parent should have to live through this hell.

I'll say it again, choices were made, but when a person has a drug problem, they do not have the capacity to make good choices. The mind is not clear and if the brain isn't functioning correctly, leaving confusion to stand in for good choices.

My job now is to learn how to live again. I have to learn how to allow the sadness and despair to live inside my heart and my complete being. The sadness and pain must live with joy in order to feel again. There are times when my despair, loneliness and the complete feeling of emptiness invades every part of my being. My heart is broken, but my spirit is strong. There is still the pain in the middle of my chest and sometimes, the pain causes me to become physically ill. It's called grief and grief is a life long journey. A journey I never thought I would have to endure. Prescription drugs not only took the life of my son, but they also took my life.

I said goodbye to my son 22 weeks ago. The mortuary had his body ready for me to see on Saturday May 30th at 10:00. I could only spend a few minutes with him. Because he was going to be cremated, his body was surrounded by ice packs and he was covered from his head to his feet in white cloth. All I could see was his face. I tried to hold his hand, but I couldn't because that damn sheet was in the way and his hands seem to be "stuck" together. His skin was cold and lifeless. I touched every part of his face, kissed his cheeks and his forehead and begged him to wake up. This could not be my son...my precious son, but it was. His eyes no longer sparkled, his voice silenced and my words could not be heard. Oh God, this can't be my son.

If you are a parent, please go to your son or to your daughter and talk with them. Listen to them, but listen to what your inner most being is telling you. If you believe there could be drugs in your child's life do something. Don't stop trying. Never give up because this road is a road you do not want to travel. If you are a child who has found comfort in drugs, please let someone know that you need help. Keep talking until you are heard�this is YOUR life and your life is precious. There is this wonderful soul inside each of us and we all have a purpose in life. Please don�t let your life slip away from you as my son did. He did not want to die. He did not want to die.....

My son's remains are in a beautiful Urn surrounded by little things he collected and enjoyed. There�s a peace sign, a couple of signed baseballs, his Karate patches, a couple of necklaces, pictures, a little dolphin he made when he was very small, his �Freddie� hand, his yearbooks and other small trinkets. That�s what I see when I wake up each morning. I have to see it to continue to believe my son is gone. Still it is, at times, so very unbelievable.

May God Bless my son on his new beginning and may God Bless those families struggling with the unfairness of addiction.

It is true that anyone can do Reiki...

And it is true that after receiving my attunements I have a much stronger ability to sense and channel energy. This has made a huge impact in my personal practice and how people experience the Reiki I offer.

It is a shame that to live in these cities and affect people directly requires money. It would be lovely for all healing to be available all the time to all people. And healers have a need and a right to make an income as much as anyone else does.

I was attuned by the very Master who posted the original ad and by another Reiki Master. Not all of them are alike. You would be surprised how thorough the former's classes are. She is teaching much more than what everyone can do universally. She has alot of integrity in her practice and a passion for passing on the lineage she was attuned to. She teaches us what we are doing, how to do it more powerfully, and how to develop a strong practice that takes care of ourselves and our clients.

So please, come to a Reiki Circle to receive for free or close to it. Those exist all over this town.

I'd like the idea of Reiki a whole lot more, if there wasn't the dynamic of having people make money for the "attunements" and "initiations" and purporting them as necessary
If there's indeed some simple natural relaxation energy going in the universe on that human beings can do, wouldn't it be available to anyone and anywhere? And easy to teach and learn, or at least roughly so, and describable online.. helping people in a certain direction?
Seems like something people everyone can do, and often does in various ways, without having to call it "Reiki".
The "levels" seems a lot like scientology or something.
"Trademarking" and "selling" the potential natural energies of the universe seems pretty wrong to me.
Seems like a lot of people just want to feel "established", like getting their Microsoft certification or something.
In this world I feel the last thing the world really needs is more pyramid schemes on the energetic plane.. don't we all have enough on the physical plane?
Or maybe its like martial arts.. people want to be able to officially say their sensei of their particular martial arts style has proclaimed them a brown belt, or something. Elements of our culture does seem pretty focused on classes and certificates and achievement and commerce and other people's approval, at times.
